Sunny Studio blog - Holiday Style Stamps
Hello craft friends!
Holiday cardmaking is officially in full swing, and I couldn't be more excited to share today's creation! Today, I’m sharing a whimsical Christmas card featuring some fantastic sets from Sunny Studio Stamps, including the awesome Holiday Style Stamps. If you love bright colors, festive icons, and cute holiday characters, you’re going to love this cheerful project!
To kick off the card, I stamped the adorable penguin and Santa hat from the Penguin Pairs Stamps set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Next, I brought them to life using Copic markers to add vibrant colors and sweet shading. Once the coloring was complete, I lined up the matching dies for the set and die-cut all the images flawlessly.
COPIC COLORS:
Penguin: E30, E31, E41, R30, W1, W5, W7, Y02, Y15
Santa Hat: R32, R43, R46, W1
Next, I wanted a splash of soft, festive color for the background elements. On another piece of white cardstock, I stamped a whole bundle of Christmas balls from the Holiday Style Stamps set using soft pink, pale yellow, and light blue inks for a dreamy pastel mix. Then, I popped out the coordinating dies to die-cut every single ornament cleanly.
For the cozy backdrop, I trimmed a piece of vibrant, festive patterned paper from the Joyful Holiday 6x6 Paper Pad. That classic red gingham check instantly adds a warm, cozy holiday feel! For the sentiment, I used the Loopy Rectangle Frame Dies to die-cut a decorative label frame from white cardstock. I then stamped the crisp "Believe in the magic of Christmas" sentiment in black ink, accompanied by lush pine branches and berries from the Holiday Greetings Stamps set to frame it beautifully.
Finally, it was time for the magic assembly! I layered all the cute stamped pieces and pastel ornaments around our happy penguin using foam tape to build lots of fun dimension and dynamic movement—as if the penguin is joyfully tossing all the Christmas balls into the air!
I hope this cheery card brings a big smile to your face and sparks some inspiration for your holiday cardmaking. For even more creative ideas and crafty inspiration, be sure to head over to the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog!
